Job summary

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist to prepare the operating room, set up sterile equipment, and assist the surgical team during procedures. You will help maintain a sterile environment and support the surgeon, with emphasis on aseptic technique and teamwork.

Required qualifications include ARC-ST or RN-based path, WA registrations, and BLS/CPR. A sign-on bonus is available and prior OR experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduation from surgical technology program ARC-ST or RN with surgical tech eligibility.
• Surgical Technologist Registration WA upon hire or RN WA upon hire.
• Basic Life Support (CPR) upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the operating room and patient for procedures using aseptic techniques.
• Sets up sterile equipment, instruments, drapes, and solutions; assists with scrubbing and gowning/gloving.
• Assists surgical team and helps the surgeon with gowns and gloves.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Surgical Tech, you will help prepare the operating room and surgical team so they can successfully perform a variety of surgical procedures for patients.
Every day you will set up surgical equipment and instruments, assist the surgical team, and ensure a sterile environment. You will be expected to adapt quickly, collaborate effectively within the OR team, and contribute directly to the patient's healing process.
To be successful in this role, you must possess adaptability, a strong team-player mindset, and enthusiasm for supporting complex surgical procedures.

• Prepares the operating room and patient for the surgical procedure by applying principles and techniques of asepsis to work assignments; sets up sterile equipment, instruments, drapes and solutions; assists with scrubbing, preparation of sterile field, gowning/gloving members of the surgical team.
• Helps the surgeon and any assistants put on their surgical gowns and gloves.

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing may be substituted for graduation from an accredited surgical technician program., upon hire and

• Registered Nurse: WA, upon hire and
• Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire

Pay Range

$30.72 - $51.20 /hour
