Job summary

University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics Authority in Madison, WI is seeking a Surgical Technologist for the Orthopedics unit. The role supports a busy operating room with complex procedures and collaboration with world-renowned surgeons in a Level 1 Trauma Center.

Qualifications

  • Completion of a Surgical Technologist program is required.
  • Two years of Surgical Technologist experience may be considered in lieu of program completion.

Surgical Technologist - Orthopedics (Finance)
Work Schedule:

Full-time, 100% FTE, Evening shift. Monday - Friday between the hours of 0640-1510 with a 0940-1810 shift once a week, with weekday and weekend call responsibilities. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.

We are seeking a Surgical Tech to:

  • Work in our fast-paced environment to prepare the Operating Room prior to surgery.
  • Work with world renowned surgeons within our Level 1 Trauma Center.

Qualifications
  • Completion of a Surgical Technologist program Required
  • Two (2) years of Surgical Technologist experience may be considered in lieu of completion of a Surgical Technologist program
Work Experience
  • Completion of a Surgical Technologist program Preferred
  • 1 year of experience as a Surgical Tech Preferred
Licenses & Certifications
  • Basic Life Support/CPR certification within 6 months Required
  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Preferred
