Fox Chase Cancer Center in Philadelphia seeks a full-time Surgical Technologist to support operations in the operating room. Under RN supervision, you will assist in patient preparation, maintain sterile fields, and handle instruments and equipment according to surgeon preferences.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, graduation from an accredited surgical technology program, BLS certification, and either CST certification or eligibility.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent – Required
• Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program – Required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) – Required
• Certified Surgical Technologist – Required OR

Responsabilités

• Under the guidance of a Registered Nurse, the Surgical Technologist is responsible for patient care and safety during surgical procedures.
• Duties include case and patient preparation, proper handling of surgical instruments and equipment, preparing the sterile field according to the procedure and surgeon's preferences, and anticipating the surgeon's needs.
