University of Kentucky HealthCare in Lexington, KY seeks a Surgical Technologist for the Center for Advanced Surgery. Responsibilities include passing instruments, maintaining sterile technique, and preparing the OR for procedures.

The role supports a range of surgical cases and requires graduation from an accredited program and certification per NBSTSA or equivalent. This is a full-time, on-site position with a salary range of $26.46–$34.29 per hour and a benefits package consistent with UKHC

Qualifications

Graduates from a CAAHEP or ABHES accredited program in surgical technology.
LPN with at least 10 years in a Surgical Tech/Technologist role.
Completion of a Surgical Technologist Certificate program with national certification (NBSTSA/AAH/NHWA/NCCT).
Military training program graduate accepted (DD214) or UKHC internal transfer.

Responsibilities

Pass surgical instruments in the operating room.
Maintain sterile field and assist with surgical case counts.
Open, prepare and arrange room supplies and instrument sets for procedures.
Set up and maintain sterile field until patient exit; assist circulating nurse as needed.
