Job summary

Singing River Health System is seeking a Surgical Technologist to assist in the operating room, manage instruments, and maintain a sterile field throughout procedures. The role supports surgeons by anticipating needs, preparing the room, and ensuring supplies and sutures are ready.

Prior experience preferred; certification and de-escalation training required by orientation. This position requires physical stamina, teamwork, and the ability to work flexible day shifts across the hospital service

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Surgical Technologist program preferred.
• Current Surgical Technologist certification preferred; BCLS required; de-escalation training by 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Handle instruments, supplies, and equipment during surgery.
• Anticipate surgeon needs and maintain sterile field throughout procedures.
• Prepare operating room and ensure instrumentation and sutures are ready.
