Job summary

Singing River Health System is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support operating room activities at Singing River Ocean Springs Hospital. You will handle instruments, supplies, and equipment during procedures, anticipate the surgeon's needs, and ensure a sterile field is maintained throughout the operation.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, with preferred graduation from an accredited Surgical Technologist program and current CST certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program preferred.
• Current Surgical Technologist Certification preferred. Must complete and maintain BCLS certification upon hire and/or transfer. Must have de-escalation training completed by the end of position orientation (90 days); must have appropriate level of de-escalation training.

Responsibilities

• The Surgical Technologist handles instruments, supplies, and equipment during the surgical procedure and anticipates the surgeon's needs.
• Assists in preparation of the room before surgery and maintains the sterile field throughout the operative procedure.
• Responsible for all items required for the surgical table, including instrumentation and sutures, in accordance with hospital procedures and policies.
