Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Checks daily assignment.
• Reviews surgical preference lists to clarify routine and updates as needed.
• Obtain physician’s instruments and sutures prior to start of the case.
• Assist with suctioning, retractors, skin closure, sutures, and wound irrigation.
• Circulates for operative procedures under RN supervision.
• End-of-procedure site care and cleansing of operative site.
• Assist with patient transfer and dressing.
• Maintain aseptic technique and proper handling of instruments.
• Participate in staff meetings and professional development.
