Job summary

UNC Lenoir Health Care in Lenoir Memorial is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support the Operating Room team under the direct supervision of a physician or registered nurse. You will assist with patient care and help create a safe, organized surgical environment.

Qualifications include a Surgical Technologist training program and a High School Diploma; three years of experience preferred. Excellent communication, organization, and ability to work under pressure are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required and completion of a Surgical Technologist training program.
• Three years of Surgical Technologist experience and/or three years’ experience in data management for purchasing/inventory systems in OR or supply environments.
• Certified Surgical Technologist preferred.
• Good written, oral communication and analytical skills.
• Ability to work autonomously in a stressful environment and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care assistance in the OR under supervision.
• Assist nursing staff and physicians with supplies and equipment for patient use.
• Coordinate planning, replenishment, and delivery of OR supplies and equipment; manage inventory levels.
