Job summary

Cameron Hospital in Angola, IN is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist to assist the surgeon during operative and invasive procedures and prepare the operating suite. This full-time position (0.8 FTE, 64 hours bi-weekly) offers day shift earning competitive pay with shift and weekend differentials.

The role requires knowledge of sterile technique, OR procedures, and completion of an accredited surgical technologist program (Associates Degree).

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• Completion of accredited surgical technologist program (Associates Degree).
• Current CST certification and CPR certification required.
• Minimal of 12-week clinical rotation experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assists surgeon during operative and invasive procedures.
• Ensures operating suite is adequately prepared for procedures.
• Maintains sterile technique and aseptic field throughout procedures.
• Completes operating room counts and follows safety policies.
• Sets up sterile field with instruments and supplies for procedures.
