Job summary

Townsen Memorial Surgery Center- Kingwood seeks a full-time Surgical Technologist to join our operating room team in Houston, TX. You will scrub in for all cases, assist physicians, and ensure sterile processing of instruments and supplies.

The role requires formal surgical technology education, CST certification, and BLS. Responsibilities include inventory management, sterilization, and maintaining compliance with safety standards while supporting patient care and privacy.

Qualifications

• Formal education in surgical technology is required.
• Current Surgical Technologist Certification (CST) from an accredited program or completed training.
• BLS certification is required and annual health requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

• Scrubs in and assists the physician for all cases.
• Maintain sterile technique and prepare/pack instrumentation.
• Manage instrument inventory and carts; ensure ready supplies for OR.
• Follow sterilization and handling protocols per manufacturer guidance.
• Document sterilization loads and track instrument usage.
