Job summary

The ideal candidate has a High School diploma, completed Surgical Technology or LVN/LPN program, and BLS certification; 2+ years of experience preferred; licensure/certification within 180 days.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completion of the Surgical Technology program or an accredited LVN/LPN program is required.

Responsibilities

• Establishes and maintains the sterile field, passes instruments to the physician, and assists as directed.
• Under the direction of a professional nurse, performs processes related to direct patient care and assistance in the OR prior to and during procedures.
• Proficiently scrub multiple specialty areas and assist with setup and case preparation.
• Maintains proper infection control and aseptic techniques.
• Demonstrates competency in use and care of surgical supplies and equipment.
