Job summary

Kaiser Permanente Baldwin Park Hospital is seeking a part-time Certified Surgical Technician to support scrub roles in the operating room. You will prepare rooms, pass instruments, and assist physicians under supervision, ensuring sterile technique and patient safety.

The role requires OR scrubbing experience, a surgical technologist program graduation, and current BLS certification. This position is onsite with structured shifts and a collaborative team culture.

Qualifications

• Two years OR scrubbing in the last three years or equivalent experience.
• Graduate of an approved surgical technologist program.
• Basic Life Support certification is required.
• Must communicate clearly in English.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeon during procedures as scrub tech per protocol.
• Prepare room, instruments, and supplies for planned surgeries.
• Maintain sterile technique and proper equipment handling.
• Assist with patient transfers and positioning as directed by RN/MD.
• Monitor patient safety and report changes promptly to the team.
