Job summary

University Hospitals Portage Medical Center is seeking dedicated Surgical Technology professionals to join our team. You will provide safe, efficient age-appropriate patient care and support the operative team in the scrub role.

This position offers a competitive salary, medical/dental/vision benefits, paid time off, flexible work schedules, and retirement plans, plus a $5k sign-on bonus for external candidates with 1+ years of experience and a $2,500 sign-on bonus for new grad techs.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe efficient age specific nursing care to patients/families using nursing interventions in order to assist them to attain, maintain, regain, and sustain optimal health status.
• Provide patient care/function in a primary scrub position.
• Assist with technical responsibilities in assigned operative procedures.
• Assure appropriate instruments/supplies are present and in proper working condition.
• Provide labeled medications with correct doses on the sterile field.
• Support the operative team, includes following patient care hand off protocol.
• Actively participate in the quality improvement process.
• Involved in learning and self-improvement.
