Job summary

Valleywise Health seeks a Surgical Technologist to support operating room team functions. You will plan for and scrub various surgeries, anticipate surgeons' needs, and assemble specialized equipment while maintaining a sterile environment to ensure patient safety.

The role requires CST or TS-C certification, BLS, and a vocationally trained background in Surgical Technology; one year of experience is preferred but not required. This is a full-time on-site position in Phoenix, AZ.

Qualifications

• Requires CST or TS-C certification and must be maintained.
• BLS certification required and must be obtained within 3 months.
• High school diploma or GED with vocational program in Surgical Technology implied by training.

Responsibilities

• Plan for and scrub various surgical operations and anticipate surgeons' needs.
• Assemble specialized equipment for the operating room and monitor sterilization processes.
• Maintain a sterile environment and ensure patient safety and well-being.
• Operate a wide range of complex and straightforward surgical equipment; verify instruments are ready for surgeons.
• Participate as a team member during surgical operations and provide all support for the department.
