Job summary

Henry Ford Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist to assist in the operating room for general to moderately complex procedures. You will handle instruments, supplies, and equipment while anticipating the needs of the surgeon and team.

Responsibilities include patient preparation and transport, assisting with patient care duties, and responding to emergent situations according to established procedures. Day shift opportunities and related benefits are available.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of surgical procedures, practices and techniques in the OR.
• Ability to respond to emergent situations per procedures.
• Must have completed Surgical Technology program or military medical training.

Responsibilities

• Handle surgical instruments, supplies and equipment for general to moderately complex procedures.
• Anticipate the needs of the surgeon and surgical team.
• Assist with patient preparation, transport and specific patient care duties to meet safety and comfort needs.
• Respond to emergent situations according to established procedures.
