Job summary

The technician will assist with patient preparation and transport, provide specific patient care duties, and respond to emergent situations per procedures. High school diploma or GED is required, with Surgical Technology training or armed forces

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of Surgical Technology program or six months specialized patient care training in the armed forces required.
• Knowledge of surgical procedures, practices and techniques in the operating room; ability to assist surgeons and care team.

Responsibilities

• Handle surgical instruments, supplies and equipment during general to moderately complex procedures.
• Anticipate the needs of the surgeon and surgical team throughout procedures.
• Assist with patient preparation, transport, and general patient care duties to meet safety and comfort needs.
• Respond to emergent situations according to established procedures.
