Job summary

Adventist Health Columbia Gorge in The Dalles, OR seeks a Surgical Technician to assist the operating room team. You’ll prepare cases, maintain sterile fields, and pass instruments, supplies and medications to surgeons during procedures.

Preferred candidates have an accredited surgical technology program, CPR/BLS, and an OR-ready background. The role includes performing counts with the RN, housekeeping duties, and patient transport as needed, with compliance to sterile technique.

Qualifications

• Accredited surgical technology program required.
• CPR/BLS certification required.
• Surgery Technician certification required.
• High school diploma preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surgical cases by ensuring sterile field and supplies.
• Set up operative instrumentation and sterile field.
• Transport patients according to unit schedules.
• Perform instrument, sponge, needle and blade counts with RN.
• Clean equipment and facilities as necessary.
• Provide clerical duties.
