Job summary

Henry Ford Health seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist to support sterile technique and instrument management in the Surgery department. Responsibilities include preparing the operating room, handling instruments, and assisting with patient positioning and draping to ensure safe, efficient procedures.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required; higher degree preferred.
• BLS Provider certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Surgical Tech credentials from NCCT or NBSTSA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the surgical suite with sterile supplies and instruments.
• Pass instruments to the surgeon and maintain instrument counts for safety.
• Assist with patient positioning, draping, and transfer as part of sterile technique.
• Maintain patient safety and high-quality care throughout procedures.
