Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist for the operating room in Charlotte, NC. This full‑time position offers 40 hours per week with a pay range of $26.55–$39.85 per hour, reflecting a benefits‑eligible role.

Responsibilities include aseptic technique, assisting in procedure preparation and room turnover, maintaining sterile fields, and supporting the RN circulator. Requires graduation from an accredited surgical tech program and current certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of surgical technology
• 5 years operating room experience as a surgical technologist
• Current certification in Surgical Technology

Responsibilities

• Possesses a thorough knowledge of aseptic technique and its application.
• Assists in obtaining and organizing supplies and instruments prior, during and after surgical procedure.
• Assists RN circulator in preparation of patient, assembly of supplies, instruments and proper disposition of specimens; assists with room turnover.
• Monitors sterilization activities for completion.
• Attends in-services/staff meetings and participates in Performance Improvement Process.
