Job summary

Advocate Health in High Point, NC is seeking a Surgical Tech to support the operating room under the direction of a Registered Nurse. You will assist with direct patient care and prepare/stock the OR before and after surgery, gathering clean and sterile supplies and maintaining aseptic technique.

Education required: Graduation from a Surgical Technology Program; Certification preferred and BCLS required. Full-time, 40 hours per week, benefits eligible, with pay range posted.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a Surgical Technology Program.
• Certification preferred, Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of a Registered Nurse, renders care to assigned patients.
• Assists with direct patient care activities and prepares/stocks the Operating Room before and after surgery.
• Gathers clean and sterile supplies, sets up sterile instrument fields, and maintains aseptic techniques.
• Ensures quality patient care and safety through effective communication with the team.
• Manages instruments and inventory with cost containment in mind.
• Maintains professional conduct and teamwork in a high-stress operating room environment.
