Job summary

UnityPoint Health in Madison, WI is seeking a Surgical Technologist for a 0.8 FTE position. You will help prepare and maintain the operating room, assist in patient prep, and deploy sterile techniques throughout procedures.

The role involves supporting the surgical team, handling specimens, and working under supervision to ensure a sterile and safe environment. Start times include 11:30 AM or 3 PM, with weekend and weeknight/holiday call rotation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Graduate from an accredited Surgical Technology program or equivalent military training or medical certification or LPN.
• BLS Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Experience as a surgical technologist preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain the operating room.
• Assist in patient preparation and sterile technique.
• Anticipate surgeon needs, handle specimens and assist during surgery.
• Support infection control protocols and safety guidelines.
