Job summary

Medix™ in Leawood, KS seeks a versatile Surgical Technologist to scrub in and support surgeons across multiple non-emergent procedures. You will work with 15–20 healthcare providers monthly in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

This contract-to-hire role offers a stable schedule with no weekends or holidays, 9.5‑hour shifts, and a pay rate of $25.00–$31.00 per hour. Higher rates apply for 5+ years of experience, with permanent benefits on conversion.

Qualifications

• 6 months to 1 year of hands-on OR Scrub Tech experience.
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Strong critical thinking, problem-solving and resilience under pressure.
• Adaptable with a professional demeanor in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• OR Suite Preparation: Prepare operating rooms and scrub in for multi-specialty cases.
• Intraoperative Support: Scrub in and assist surgeons during procedures.
• Instrumentation & Safety: Handle, count, sterilize and dispose of instruments per procedures.
• Collaborative Teamwork: Work with 15–20 surgeons and providers monthly.
• Patient Safety & Care: Maintain sterile fields and communicate to ensure outcomes.
