Job summary

Intermountain Health Lutheran Hospital in Wheat Ridge, Colorado, seeks a Surgical Technologist (Level III) to join the OR team on a PRN basis. You will assist in sterile processing, maintain sterile field, and support multiple specialties under Surgical Services leadership.

Requires ORT program completion or recent graduate status, plus ability to take call. Hourly pay ranges from $32.34 to $49.94 depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Accredited ORT program completion, or recent non-accredited program graduate within the past six months.
• Two years of scrub tech experience in hospital/military surgical services within the last three years.
• Registered through DORA in the state of Colorado.
• Able to take assigned call.
• Must be in good standing.
• Prior approval from the Surgical Services Director Council must be obtained before caregivers are moved into this role.

Responsibilities

• Maintains sterile field and safe environment.
• Assists the surgical staff during the procedure, within the scope of practice.
• Prepares room and instruments for surgical procedure. May assist with sterile processing.
• After procedure, cleans room and prepares for next procedure.
• Identifies emergency situations and exercises judgment when implementing procedures to respond to emergencies.
