Job summary

Ascension seeks an OR technician in Jacksonville, FL to support the operating room team. You will prepare the surgical suite with sterile/non-sterile instruments, hand instruments to surgeons, and assist with patient positioning and draping.

Responsibilities include instrument counts and aiding in hemostasis during procedures. Minimum requirements include BLS within 1 month of hire, and a high school diploma or equivalent with 2 years of experience (or an Associate's/Technical degree or 4 years

Qualifications

• BLS Provider required within 1 month of hire.
• High School diploma or equivalent with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience.
• 1-2 years in main OR preferred.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Maintain instruments in an organized manner and monitors and tracks instruments counts throughout procedures.
• Assist surgeons provision of hemostasis during surgery.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

License / Certification / Registration

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
