Job summary

SCA Health is seeking a Surgical Technician Lead in Charlotte, NC, to provide expert surgical scrubbing across multiple procedures within our ASC. The role emphasizes safety, aseptic technique, and collaboration with a multi-disciplinary care team to deliver high-quality patient care.

The ideal candidate will have CST certification, CPR, and 1–2 years of ASC or hospital experience, with multispecialty exposure preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be Certified Surgical Technician (CST) with current CPR.
• Minimum 1–2 years ASC or hospital experience.
• Multispecialty surgical experience preferred (orthopedics, ENT, pain management, GI).
• Personable, flexible and able to work with diverse teams.
• Knowledge of typical OR equipment required.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe surgical scrub for all procedures as trained.
• Collaborate with the care team and follow facility policies and procedures.
• Maintain instruments, supplies and medications prepared prior to procedures.
• Support turnover times and OR safety; coordinate with leadership as needed.
• Communicate courteously with patients, physicians, staff, and visitors.
• Identify and address potential unsafe situations; escalate as needed.
• Promote infection control practices and aseptic technique throughout the team.
• Serve as a primary resource for Surgical Technologists and guide junior staff.
• Coordinate with Nursing Director and Quality Committee to ensure compliance.
