Qualifications

• Be a current Surgical Technology student in good standing and progressing toward program completion.

• Satisfactory program attendance must be maintained to continue the internship.

Responsibilities

• Provides technical and clinical support to the perioperative team during a variety of surgical procedures.
• Acts as primary scrub person by handling instrumentation, supplies and equipment; anticipates surgeon needs.
• Learn the CDS layout, case carts and instrument tracking; assist in room setup and sterile techniques.
• Under direct supervision, participate in second scrub duties and assist CST/RN as needed.
