Qualifications

• Be a current Surgical Technology student in good standing and making progress toward completion of program.
• Initiation of the internship requires an application and a recommendation letter from the program director, instructor, or OR Educator stating good standing.
• Satisfactory program attendance is required to continue internship.

Responsibilities

• Provides technical and clinical support to the perioperative team during a variety of surgical procedures.
• Performs duties as the primary scrub by handling instrumentation, supplies and equipment.
• Anticipates the surgeon and procedural needs and supports room setup.
• Learn CDS workflow, case cart preparation and sterile technique.
• Collaborates with CST and RN circulator under supervision.
