Qualifications

• Be a current Surgical Technology student in good standing and progressing toward program completion.
• Initiation of the internship requires an application to St. Joseph’s Health and a letter of recommendation from the program director or clinical instructor.
• Satisfactory program attendance is required to ensure continuance of internship.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and clinical support to the perioperative team during procedures.
• Serve as the primary scrub person handling instrumentation, supplies and equipment.
• Learn intraoperative duties and participate in case setup and patient care under supervision.
