Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program is required.
• Minimum of 1 year Surg Tech experience is required.
• Certifications: BLS (within 30 days of hire) and CST NBSTSA are preferred/noted requirements.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.”

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room by setting up instruments, equipment, sterile solutions, and supplies before procedures.
• Help prepare patients for surgery, including positioning and ensuring the surgical site is properly prepped.
• Maintain a sterile field at all times and uphold aseptic technique to prevent infection.
• Anticipate the surgeon's needs and pass instruments and supplies safely throughout procedures.
• Assist with holding retractors, cutting sutures, handling specimens, and applying dressings as directed.
• Participate in pre- and post-procedure counts, room turnover, cleaning, and restocking to keep cases running smoothly.
• Support a culture of safety, quality, and teamwork while providing age-appropriate care across the lifespan.
