Job summary

Mercy Hospital Southeast is seeking a Surgical Technologist (CST/ST) for the Operating Room in Cape Girardeau, MO. The role supports the surgical team by handing instruments and supplies, maintaining sterile technique, and ensuring patient safety and confidentiality.

The position requires a HS diploma or GED, with preferred postsecondary surgical technology credentials and BLS. Full-time hours include 8-hour days, Monday through Friday, plus call hours, in a dynamic OR team environment.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Postsecondary certificate or associate degree in Surgical Technology preferred.
• Surgical Technology Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide surgical instruments to the surgical team.
• Coordinate care of the surgical patient with other team members.
• Maintain patient rights and confidentiality.
• Perform duties in line with Mercy Service Standards.
