The University of Iowa Health Care - Medical Center North Liberty OR is seeking a full-time Surgical Technologist II. Under the direction of Staff Nurses, assists with surgical procedures, the provision of therapeutic, preventive and emergency patient care duties.

Prepares, operates and maintains routine and complex equipment, instruments, supplies and implants. Schedule: 100%; Hours: 10 hour rotating shifts 0645-1715, primarily M-F with weekends/holidays as needed.

Qualifikationen

• Two years of Surgical Technologist experience.
• Satisfactory completion of a vocational or military course in surgical technology, or certification as a Surgical Technologist.

Aufgaben

• Assist with surgical procedures under the direction of staff nurses.
• Prepare, operate and maintain routine and complex equipment, instruments, supplies and implants.
• Ensure aseptic technique and patient care throughout the perioperative period.
