Job summary

Cone Health Medical Group is seeking a Surgical Technologist II to assist surgical teams under RN supervision. You will verify health data and observe patients, perform basic scrub duties, and prepare the sterile field for procedures.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, graduation from ARC/STSA accredited surgical tech program, at least 1 year of surgical tech experience, and current BLS certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduate of ARC/STSA-accredited Surgical Technology program or equivalent military training with surgical tech experience.
• 1 year of surgical tech experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains asepsis by preventing contact between sterile equipment and unsterile items.
• Observes and reports on patient health changes to adapt the care plan as necessary.
• Performs basic scrub duties and table set-ups to provide a sterile field for surgery.
• Gathers supplies and checks equipment to ensure materials are ready for surgery.
• Verifies health data for patients with the circulating nurse and documents condition.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
