Job summary

Advocate Health’s Mequon area Surgery Center seeks a part-time Surgical Technologist to support OR procedures, ensure sterile field, and operate equipment per physician specifications. The role emphasizes ASSEPTIC technique, teamwork, and patient safety in a fast-paced environment.

Applicants should have completed an accredited Surgical Technology program and have no prior experience required; BLS is due within six months unless exempted.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
• No experience required.
• BLS certification within 6 months unless exempted by department leadership.

Responsibilities

• Assist in a variety of surgical procedures and support specialty areas as appropriate.
• Set up and operate equipment according to physicians' specifications and maintain instrument carts.
• Provide supervision to Surgical Technologists I as needed and intervene when required.
• Maintain aseptic technique and ensure a sterile field during procedures and preparation of materials.
