Job summary

UF Health Durbin Park Hospital in St. Johns County, FL seeks a Surgical Tech II to assist surgeons with instrumentation and sterile technique in the OR and to provide patient care in the clinical setting. The role includes care and maintenance of basic surgical equipment and instrumentation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and graduate of surgical technologist program.
• Certification from NBSTSA, NCCT, or AST within 1 year of hire/transfer.
• BLS from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

Responsibilities

• Assist the surgeon by providing basic instrumentation and sterile techniques for procedures in the Operating Room and provide patient care in the clinical setting. Maintain and handle basic surgical equipment and instrumentation.
