Qualifications

• Technical Degree or Diploma in Surgical Technology.
• Associates Degree preferred.
• 1–3 years of Surgical Tech experience required.
• BLS certification required.
• Certified Surgical Technologist credential required.
• TS-C credential preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs scrub duties to assist physician/surgeon during surgical procedures.
• Makes instruments available in proper position and hands instruments to the surgeon as needed.
• Assists the circulator in room prep per physician preference card.
• Assists with surgical counts following policy and procedure guidelines.
• Prepares suture and dressing for surgeon use.
• Maintains a sterile field and aseptic technique.
• Manages supplies and equipment efficiently.
• Demonstrates professional behavior and customer service.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
