Qualifications

• Surgical technology degree or diploma required; Level II requires completion of Level I criteria.
• BLS/Heartsaver AED certification required or obtainable within 90 days.
• Prior surgical technology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs scrub duties to assist physician/surgeon during procedures.
• Places instruments in proper position and hands them to the surgeon as needed.
• Assists the circulator in room preparation based on patient assignment.
• Assists with surgical counts following policy and procedure guidelines.
• Prepares sutures and dressings for surgeon use.
• Maintains sterile field and aseptic technique throughout procedures.
• Manages resources and completes duties efficiently and productively.
• Exhibits professional behavior and delivers excellent customer service.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
