Qualifications

• GED or High School Diploma and graduate of surgical technologist program.
• Less than 1 year of surgical technologist experience.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
• Expert knowledge and use of standard precautions; aseptic/sterile technique; experience training staff in Cardio-Thoracic surgery.

Responsibilities

• Assist the surgeon by providing basic instrumentation and sterile techniques.
• Maintain and handle basic surgical equipment and instrumentation.
• Provide patient care in the clinical setting in addition to OR support.
