Job summary

UF Health in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support the OR team. Required: GED or High School Diploma and completion of a surgical technologist program.

You will assist surgeons with instrumentation and sterile technique, provide patient care, and mentor others in the clinical setting. Certification in surgical technology is required; experience in cardio-thoracic or specialty areas is preferred.

Qualifications

• GED or high school diploma plus graduation from a surgical technologist program.
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Surgical Tech Certification from NCCT, NBSTSA, or LCCC-ST; BLS from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Assist the surgeon by providing basic instrumentation and sterile techniques in the OR.
• Provide patient care and mentor/training of surgical technologists in the clinical setting.
