Job summary

Salem Health Hospitals & Clinics is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join the operating room team. You will scrub in and support the surgical team, with duties in aseptic technique and instrument handling, while maintaining patient privacy and safety.

The role may involve assisting circulating duties, rapid prep of the OR, and training new staff. A shift pattern of 4x10 or 3x12 hours, Monday through Friday, starts at 7am or 11am is offered.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of surgical technology required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains aseptic technique while providing a quiet environment in the OR suite.
• Shares in OR suite preparation. Uses and maintains specialized equipment and supplies used for specific surgical procedures.
• Anticipates the needs of the surgeon to expedite the procedure.
• Utilizes surgical instruments and knowledge of the step-by-step sequences for surgical procedures.
• Assumes shared responsibility for proper handling of surgical specimens.
• Assists in training and orientation of new employees.
• Performs other duties as required or assigned.

Job description

$15,000 sign on bonus.

4x10 hour shifts or 3x12 hour shifts between Monday-Friday starting at either 7am or 11am.

Acts as a member of the surgical team who primarily functions in a scrubbing capacity. May assist in circulating duties in the surgical suite.

Qualifications

• A graduate of an approved school of surgical technology or program accepted by the Association of Surgical Technologists required.

Required Licensure/Certifications

• BLS at hire


• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)


• NH Medical Technician OR Tmp Medical Technician
