Job summary

Enloe Medical Center, Inc. in Chico, CA is seeking a Surgical Technologist I to support preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative care.

You will work as part of a surgical team, focusing on patient safety and efficient procedures during the PM shift. Minimum one year hospital OR experience or graduation from an accredited OR Technician program is required; CPR is essential, and membership in a national surgical technologist organization is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum: 1 year recent hospital experience as Surgical Technologist or 2 years in a surgery center as Surgical Tech.
• Graduate of an accredited Operating Room Technician course or completed Enloe Surgical Tech Trainee Program.
• Current CPR recognition; certification as Surgical Technologist is desirable.
• Desirable: membership in a national surgical technologist organization.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative phases as a surgical team member.
• Interact professionally with physicians, staff, patients and the public.
• Maintain competency requirements and participate in continuing education.
• Work within a decentralized patient care delivery model and stay organized.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Surgical Technologist I functions as a team member during the preoperative, intra-operative and postoperative phases of the surgical procedure.

EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE

Minimum: One (1) year recent hospital experience in the capacity of a Surgical Technologist OR two years recent surgery center experience in the capacity of a Surgical Tech OR Graduate of an accredited Operation Room Technician course OR has successfully completed Enloe Medical Center’s hospital based Surgical Technologist Training Program OR a current Enloe employee who has applied and been accepted into the Surgical Tech Trainee Program Desired: Membership in a national surgical technologist organization

LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS

Minimum: Current CPR recognition Desired: Certification as a Surgical Technologist
