Job summary

Enloe Medical Center in Chico, CA is seeking a Registered Nurse for the 3NTSICU to deliver specialized patient care in a Level II trauma setting. Night shifts are 12-hour with a sign-on bonus up to $3,000 and a pay range of $55.93–$79.75 per hour based on experience.

The RN will coordinate care with the care team, uphold practice standards, perform thorough assessments, and support families in crisis within Enloe’s patient-centered culture.

Qualifications

• Current California Board of Registered Nursing license required.
• ACLS and PALS certifications requested within 6 months of hire.
• Critical Care, Hemodynamics, and Arrhythmia coursework or equivalents preferred.
• Experience in acute/nursing ICU settings is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in accordance with Enloe Medical Center standards and medical plan.
• Coordinate patient care with the multidisciplinary team.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Registered Nurse is a licensed professional who provides patient care in accordance with the standards, policies, and practices of Enloe Medical Center. The Registered Nurse prioritizes patient needs, coordinates patient care, and collaborates with other members of the patient care team to provide care in accordance with the medical plan of care.

EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE

• Minimum: Basic Arrhythmia or equivalent (within one year of hire)
• Hemodynamics or equivalent (within one year of hire)
• Critical Care Course or equivalent (within one year of hire)
• Desired: One year of acute nursing experience
• One year of recent Critical Care RN experience
• One year of recent Intensive Care Unit experience
• Previous Paramedic, ED Triage Tech, EMT, ED Tech or Lift Tech experience
• Basic Arrhythmia, Hemodynamics or Critical Care Course

LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS

• Minimum: Current licensure with the California Board of Registered Nursing
• Current CPR
• Current ACLS
• Current PALS (within 6 months of hire)
• Current NIH Stroke Scale Certification (within 6 months of hire) (dept tracks)
• Desired: CNRN certification

SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES

Must demonstrate technical competence, professional clinical judgment, communication skills and sensitivity for the patient and family in crisis. Must be able to fulfill the essential functions of the position.
