Job summary

Norman Regional Health System is seeking a Surgical Technologist to assist physicians and support sterile technique in the operating environment. The role focuses on promoting optimal patient outcomes while maintaining safety for patients and staff.

Candidates should have completed an accredited Surgical Technology program or have five years of surgical tech experience; RCIS for Cath Lab is preferred, and BLS is required to be maintained.

Qualifications

• Completion of accredited Surgical Technology program, or five years’ training/experience as a surgical tech.
• National certification in surgical technology is highly preferred.
• RCIS/cath lab certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists the physician to promote optimal patient outcomes.
• Provides and maintains a safe environment for the patient and staff.
• Provides for a sterile environment.
• Prepares for procedure.
• Responsible for personal continuing education and professional practice.

Education

Surgical Technologist program completion

RCIS/Cath lab certification preferred
