Job summary

Atrium Health Stanly is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support the surgical team in the Stanly area. The position is full-time with a 40-hour work week and a schedule Monday through Friday with 5 eight-hour shifts and call requirements.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, current BLS for Healthcare Providers, and completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program. Certification is preferred. Competitive pay ranges and comprehensive benefits accompany this role.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider required.
• Graduate of an accredited school of surgical technology required or successful completion of military training program for Surgical Technology or Operating Room Specialist.
• Current certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists in obtaining and organizing supplies and instruments prior, during and after surgical procedure.
• Assists Registered Nurse circulator in preparation of patient, assembly of supplies, instruments, equipment and proper disposition of all specimens; assists with room turnover.
• Participates in development of policies, procedures, and standards.
• Monitors surgical supplies for sterility prior to use and ensures that supplies are used appropriately.
• Attends in-services/staff meetings and participates in Performance Improvement Process.
