Job summary

Dartmouth Health in New Hampshire is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join the operating room team. You will prepare for surgery, set up instruments and equipment, and assist during procedures in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or GED, and 2 years of surgical technologist experience. Surgical tech program graduate preferred; NH board registration required; BLS certification advisable.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of Surgical Technology School or program preferred.
• 2 years of experience as a surgical technologist.
• Knowledge of Orthopaedic, GYN, and General Surgery preferred.
• Currently Registered with the New Hampshire Board of Registration for Medical Technicians.

• Shares in OR suite cleaning, preparation, use and maintenance of specialized equipment & supplies used for surgical procedures.
• Maintains sterilization techniques and disposal of hazardous waste.
• Uses surgical instruments and knowledge of the step-by-step sequences for surgical procedures.
• Handles surgical specimens.
• Files and copies path and procedure chart reports.
• Performs other duties as required or assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of a Surgical Technology School or program recognized by the Association of Surgical Technologists preferred.
• 2 years of experience as a surgical technologist
• Knowledge of Orthopaedic, GYN, and General Surgery preferred.
• Currently Registered with the New Hampshire Board of Registration for Medical Technicians
