New Grads are eligible for a $3,000 Sign-On Bonus

Eligible bonus candidates are Certified Surgical Technologists.

New graduates and previous MMC and MaineHealth employees with more than 3 months of separation are eligible. Current MMC and MaineHealth employees are not eligible.

Summary

The Surgical Technologist I - MMC role involves preparing the operating room, instruments, equipment, and supplies, as well as passing instruments, sponges, and sutures to surgeons.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities (KSAs)

• Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Surgical Technology required.
• License/Certifications: Certification by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting required within six months of start date or at the discretion of leadership. Certification preferred at SMHC. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.
• Experience: Experience as a Surgical Technologist or at least six months in a scrub role in the academic or clinical setting preferred.
