Qualifications

• Surgical Technologist Licensure required in the state of practice.
• Virginia Surgical Technologist License REQUIRED.
• NBSTSA/NCCA Surgical Technologist Certification REQUIRED.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification REQUIRED.
• Prior Surgical Technologist experience PREFERRED.

Responsibilities

• Ensure operating room is properly prepared with necessary instruments.
• Assist the surgical team throughout the procedure by passing instruments.
• Maintain the sterile field and anticipate the needs of the surgeon.
• Apply dressings and secure surgical drapes.
