Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a Surgical Technologist to assist in setting up the operating room, maintain aseptic technique and support patient care before, during and after surgery. Responsibilities include instrument counts, preparing patient positioning, and ensuring cost-effective care while adhering to safety policies.

Qualifications

• One year certificate from a college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Preferred: 1-3 years of Surgical Technologist experience.
• Additional Employment Requirements: CPR - American Heart Association within 60 days of hire.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum

One year certificate from a college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred

1-3 years of Surgical Technologist experience.

Additional Employment Requirements:

• Surgical Technologist (ST) hired after 12/29/2020 require one of the following:
• Education and Certification: Accredited Surgical Technologist program completion and nationally recognized certification (CST, TS-C) within 6 months of hire. Military programs accepted.
• Pre-existing Employment: Employment as a surgical technologist by this facility before 12/29/2020, or at another facility within the two years prior to 12/29/2020.
• CPR - American Heart Association within 60 days of hire.
