Job summary

• Understand and adapt to surgeon preference and patient care variables; help update surgeon preference materials.
• Perform sponge, needle, and instrument count.
• Care for and utilize resources to promote cost-effective and efficient patient care.
• Perform other duties as assigned or required.

Qualifications

Minimum

• One year certificate from a college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred

• 1-3 years of Surgical Technologist experience

Additional Employment Requirements

• Surgical Technologist (ST) hired after 12/29/2020 require one of the following
• Accredited Surgical Technologist program completion and nationally recognized certification (CST, TS-C) within 6 months of hire. Military programs accepted.
• Employment as a surgical technologist by this facility before 12/29/2020, or at another facility within the two years prior to 12/29/2020.
• CPR – American Heart Association within 60 days of hire.
