Job summary

MU Health Care in Jefferson City, MO is seeking a dedicated surgical technologist to join our fast-paced operating room team. The role supports pre-op to post-op care, coordinating with surgeons, nurses and staff to ensure smooth cases and patient safety.

Shift is Tuesday–Thursday, 6:30am to 7pm, on-site with call. Ideal candidates have 1 year of experience and complete an accredited surgical tech program; CST/CORST is preferred. MU Health Care offers comprehensive benefits and retention rewards.

Qualifications

• One (1) year of experience as a surgical technologist.
• Completion of an accredited surgical tech program, MU Health Care Surgical Tech program, or military training may be substituted.

Responsibilities

• Anticipates the needs of the surgical team.
• Assists with the teaching of newly hired technologists and student technologists.
• Communicates effectively with patients, staff members and physicians.
• Establishes and maintains sterile field and maintain sterile environment.
• Performs duties involving care, preparation and maintenance of supplies and equipment in the OR.
