Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support the sterile field and assist surgeons and nurses in the operating room. This on-site role requires a High School diploma or GED and Basic Life Support certification, with preference for CRT AST or surgical tech program graduates and at least 1 year of experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Basic Life Support certification required.
• Graduate of Surgical Technologist Program preferred.
• AST Certification preferred or minimum of 1 year of surgical setting experience preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in surgical setting.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, organizes and monitors the sterile field environment under the direction of a surgeon and a registered nurse for assigned surgical cases/deliveries.
• Provides assistance to the surgeon/physician and registered nurse as directed.
